That was an excellent one.
Please don't spend money on this.
Although it has its amusing moments, in eneral the plot does not convince.
View MoreStrong acting helps the film overcome an uncertain premise and create characters that hold our attention absolutely.
View MorePlot: Ninjitsu master Casey is back and out for revenge when his pregnant wife is murdered. This is easily my favorite Scott Adkins film to date. This has the best story because it's straight forwarded and simple which is what I like about the action films from back in the day and this brings that back. I've always thought he had charisma whenever he was on screen, He is very likable, and you feel for him in this film which is what you should do for your main character. The action in this film is some of the best I've seen in years, rivaling the John Wick films even. Director Isaac Florentine knows how to shoot action as demonstrated in his other films, if only Hollywood would actually give this guy a good budget and have some of his films in theaters unlike some directors who don't deserve it.This is a really good throwback to old school action films that action fans should watch and give it a chance, you won't regret it.
View MoreNinjitsu master Casey is back and out for revenge when his pregnant wife is murdered. Ninja 2: Shadow of a Tear has it's moments but i completely lost interest when Namiko was killed i'm so sick and tired watching really good characters dying in dumb sequels and this film is not exception sure Scott Adkins does a pretty good job once again and i thought that Kane Kosugi the son of Sho Kosugi would have made the movie so much better but it didn't it actually made it worse it tried to be as good as the first film but it failed in every single level and it shouldn't got a 6.2 out of 10 the first one is way way better in my opinion.
View MoreNINJA: SHADOW OF A TEAR is a follow-up to the surprisingly decent NINJA, an action flick starring Brit martial artist Scott Adkins and directed by direct-to-DVD helmer Isaac Florentine. This one has a different scope in that the chief character, Casey, having been banned from returning to the USA after the events of the first movie, trawls southeast Asia in a straightforward and undistinguished revenge storyline.Okay, so the plot is nothing new, it's the kind of simple, join-the-dots stuff you'd expect to be written by a high school student. The twists are obvious from the outset and there's a slight weariness and staleness to the whole concept. The acting isn't much to write home about, either; Adkins is passable, a briefly returning Mika Hijii is a joy while she's around, and Kane Kosugi is slowing becoming a younger version of his father, but nobody else makes an impact. It's good news, then, that this film really hits home when it comes to the action stakes. NINJA: SHADOW OF A TEAR packs a punch in terms of hard-hitting martial arts action, and it's filled to the brim with well-choreographed mayhem. The fights are incredibly hard-hitting and the actors are accomplished performers who are performing to the best of their ability. There's nothing not to love; this is outstanding stuff, and the best straight-to-video action flick of the year.
View MoreThis movie is plain boring and very predictable. For starters, from the beginning, there is no real hook to get you that interested in the movie. Then a bunch of seemingly unconnected mediocre fights ensue. It had had an obvious 'B' movie feel to it. The plot was the typical and very stereotyped "revenge" type; which granted probably describes like 90% of all martial arts movies. But then done well it wouldn't have been so obvious. The worst of it through the whole movie it pivots around the staring actor glaring at you with some over the top, cheesy, and insincere scowling grimace. I felt as if I was looking at a tiny narcissistic body builder flexing for attention. No this didn't instill any kind of fear/grit/toughness to me, it just made me want to reach out into the screen and slap this Hollywood uncle tom of the Japanese Ninja world silly.Typically in such a movie you need a strong lead (think Brice Lee, Chuck Norris, in other genres like: Clint Eastwood, Bruce Willis, Steve McQueen, etc.) but this actor sadly just couldn't carry it.Only mildly entertaining. Skip it unless you want to be bored and insulted to tears.
