Yes, absolutely, there is fun to be had, as well as many, many things to go boom, all amid an atmospheric urban jungle.

Movie: Singham Returns Rating:4/5As we all know, Singham is a sequel to the 2011 blockbuster Singham, directed by Rohit Shetty and starring Ajay Devgn as Singham. Well, this one is also having both of them. Singham Returns, although is not like Singham, but still it is entertaining since its made brilliantly and efficiently. To be very honest, I watched the film on DVD, the original DVD, since original is the best. I found that this movie had even more impressive action, drama and Singham. However, the treatment is a bit less impressive than Singham. Despite of this, the film entertains. The action is brilliant. The music is good. The story and emotional scenes are good. The visual effects are fantastic and cinematography is decent. One can say, that technically, it is the best film of Rohit Shetty. The storyline is brilliant. The performances are good as well.On the whole, Singham Returns is a well made, well scripted, well shot and well designed movie that is enjoyable all over. Just go for it!

I loved Singham (part 1) movie, but this movie has brought a lot of disappointment to me. The script was good, acting was good, locations were good, then what went wrong? Well, it didn't make much sense to me when the police department regularly visits Dargah/mosque to solve their case. Are you serious?? Why police department needs to pray in Dargah for solving their case, despite the fact that constitution is a different thing and religions are different thing. Worst is, most of the police are shown as Hindus and they goes to mosque for prayers, and there comes a miracle they get culprit out of coma hahaha. Do they don't believe in their own religion? Secularism is good, but this is utter nonsense. This movie shows that our police are of no use, as almost all the time police department fails in this movie and when all of them resigns from their duty they wins. LOL.. Seriously? Singham fails in protecting VIP person, fails in presenting a culprit to court and instead risked many police life in danger. After success of Singham (part 1), Chennai express, it seems Rohit shetty has lost his mind by giving secular colors in a movie which has nothing to do with religions. Hahahaha, brings more comedy than action.

Having enjoyed the first outing of Devgn as Bajirao Singham, I knew that I would be watching the sequel, irrespective of media reviews.I cannot say that I am completely in tune with the ethos of the movie going Janata in India, but surely there is some appeal for a movie where cops and politicians are honest and unwavering in their beliefs.Shetty does what he does best - blowing up cars, big & violent crowd scenes and Singham taking on multiple goons in a style that also seems to be a favorite of Salman Khan. There is no gore and no killing; just a lot of bad guys flying in the air and crashing through furniture, glass and other props. For the serious minded viewer, the movie has plenty of moments where it gets side-tracked, but the aam janata will get a comedy scene, a religious scene, a romantic song, parental bliss and so on. Everybody hams But Devgn's angry old man somehow holds it all together. As long as he looks angry. His role is designed to dominate the movie and so it does. Kapoor looks pretty in heavy makeup and Shetty himself is often seen by Devgn's side as a cop. Dayanand Shetty as Daya is Singham's strong, silent sidekick and satisfies. The others are mostly caricatures of themselves. And so the franchise continues. Aai shapath.

Rohit Shetty's flying movieMovie is OK, but there is too much drama. Do not be disappointed though. The moment you think that there is too much emotion... out pops a stereo system (in Background, of course). The songs and Kareena Kapoor have nothing to do in this movie. The leading lady has only one purpose, to irritate her hero and the public watching the film. (And I thought only the lead female part in Ek Villain could be so harmful)The law takes the law in their hands... powered by guns with infinite ammo and probably Dixcy Scott, Rupa, Lux Cozi... take your pick. Amole Gupte is excellent as a publicly spiritual but privately corrupt spiritual leader. The director blends a strong underlying message of police honour and dilemma with beats, beatings, sound-blasters and four-wheelers.And of course everything flies, from Safari to Sumo to Scorpio to Safari to van to villain to Ajay Devgan. Ajay is the only one whose acting seems sincere in this blended popcorn fare - whether he acts with his eyes or drives away his irritating girlfriend or empties "hundreds of bullets from a single pistol" (WOW, indeed) or one-lines his opponents to death. But the best scene has to be this... "The villains hide behind closed doors. Dayanand Shetty plays a supporting character in the movie who is also a cop. GUESS WHAT HAPPENS"On another note, I am glad Rohit Shetty did not remake the Tamil Singam2, because that has to be one of the worst sequels ever (a list which includes Golmaal 2,3...whatever will follow by Arithmetic Progression) and I say this despite Suriya being a good actor and Anushka Shetty one of my favourite actresses currently and Hansika Motwani a good looking actress. To end, if Golmaal 3 can do wonders at the B.O... then this one actually has a story.Ciao
