    How sad is this?

The film may be flawed, but its message is not.

Although I seem to have had higher expectations than I thought, the movie is super entertaining.

This is not your average offensive cartoon. This is next level brilliance. We're talking F bombs here, P bombs there..That being said, I about choked on my pizza the moment my father-in-law said he gave this show a go. Didn't like it, but that's to be expected. If you are not into swearing, then this show definitely is NOT for you.Kevin....oh, Kevin...how I love your character. Justin Long is ridiculously funny.

Just saw the first season (thank god it was only 6 episodes) and honestly, I didn't even smile at any of the...jokes? There is nothing funny or entertaining about this show. The characters are rip-off or parodies from every other animated family show. The family is dis functional in a very depressing way (not funny dis functional as, I dunno, The Simpsons or Family Guy. The children are flat characters, the parents are extremely sad to watch, as characters and as a couple. There wasn't a single funny moment in the whole season. So the "original" thing is that it's on the 70's......and? They don't have cellphones and color TV is the top notch technology? is that the catch? If the point of this series was the 70's thing, "That 70's Show" made it much better and was actually funny. Had to write this, after seeing and 8 on this show I thought it was going to be worth watching. Turned out completely wrong

What does it say about me that this show reminds me of growing up in a middle (low) middle class family in the 80's. I love the humor and the real life situations that too many of us can probably relate. Through all the cursing and jokes there is still a strong message about friends and family. It's not, PC by any means but, if you can't laugh at this show then it's not for you any way. I hope more seasons are in the works.

When Netflix released the first season I binge-watched it the same day. So much I can relate to - and yet I don't even have a wife nor children.Having studied abroad in South Korea for my undergrad, I find this relocatable-to-the-bone (even though this was not meant in a funny manner at all). Especially, when it comes to the references such as "I should have died in Korea".It is definitely a well written comedy that is worth watching.
