Beautiful, moving film.

I am only giving this movie a 1 for the great cast, though I can't imagine what any of them were thinking. This movie was horrible

The biggest problem with this movie is it’s a little better than you think it might be, which somehow makes it worse. As in, it takes itself a bit too seriously, which makes most of the movie feel kind of dull.

Yes, absolutely, there is fun to be had, as well as many, many things to go boom, all amid an atmospheric urban jungle.

This is three points in the life of nerdy inventor Alex Riley. In 1991 at age 14, he moves to California after his stewardess mother marries airline pilot Ron. Ron already has a son named Justin. Alex has a crush on Nori Sterling and makes a friend with fellow nerd Darryl. In 2017 at age 40, Alex (Bobby Moynihan) is a struggling inventor with his best friend Darry (Jaleel White). His ex-wife Sarah is moving away threatening to take their daughter Abby with her. In 2042 at age 65, Alex (John Larroquette) is a successful retiring entrepreneur with Abby (Kelen Coleman) taking over the company. He runs into Nori/Eleanor (Sharon Lawrence) who is the owner of a diner. Justin (Ed Begley Jr.) is now the governor.The concept of running three time lines with the same guy may be a pitch winner. In execution, it runs into some difficulties. I actually like the kids' story. The problem is that the other time lines reveal the future of these characters. It leaves the kids without the drama of the unknown. The only one without a known future is the Larroquette time line but it only has one interesting reveal possibility. It would probably work much better without the Larroquette storyline. Three time lines are too many. Also, Nori needs to be in Moynihan's time line. This high concept is simply one level too high.

It's a shame this amazing show was cancelled. From the very first (nice) episode it was only getting better. Characters are very likeable and relatable. Watching Alex's approach to everyday struggle on each stage of his life will simply makes me smile for another extra minutes after the episode ends,wrapped in the feeling that the world is beautiful and people are good, even if things don't always go your way. Actors' performance is very believable, and the writing was getting stronger when creators really got hold on the show's format. Reminded me a little of "Parks and recreations" and "Modern family" at their best. Please, gift yourself a good day by watching this show, you won't regret it. And whoever was responsible for (lack) of its advertising should be fired like, yesterday, The network killed what could have been a long-run incredibly successful series.

My wife and I both think this show is well done. It is funny and light hearted without being too sappy and it keeps things in check for pretty much any age to enjoy. It is too bad that it was put on hiatus and I don't have high hopes that it will return from what I have read, and that would be a shame.

There was a touch of humanity in each episode. They didn't give it much of a chance airing only 6 episodes.
