Salvation Audience Reviews

Spoonatects Am i the only one who thinks........Average?
Rio Hayward All of these films share one commonality, that being a kind of emotional center that humanizes a cast of monsters.
Griff Lees Very good movie overall, highly recommended. Most of the negative reviews don't have any merit and are all pollitically based. Give this movie a chance at least, and it might give you a different perspective.
Phillipa Strong acting helps the film overcome an uncertain premise and create characters that hold our attention absolutely.
mbroteas This is like eating a kebab when you are blind drunk. It looks bad, smells bad and tastes bad. It is not good for your body in any way whatsoever, yet it is quick and easy to consume.
dmr140 Ok so we've got an asteroid on its way to earth and that's it. It's just the plot line. No asteroids, no countdown, no anarchy. It's almost surprising how they have hidden the elephant in the room. I mean, how hard can it be? Let me, as a viewe, be involved into the horror of this destructive perspective where mankind will distinct. But no, nothing at all is shown. Nothing that gives me the slightest bit of feeling that this asteroid is heading for earth. The last episode is also a joke. Nukes are on its way and not even a second of this event is being showed. It seems like there was zero budget for special effects. If so, don't make a sci fi series that ignores the subject and therefor completely missing the point of making a serie abut such a subject.
reality42 The prior review discovered what I was curious about: the staff changed for Season 2 after an interesting season 1 and the show has gone downhill. All along there has been the usual need to suspend disbelief regarding errors in technical and legal topics, but its gotten worse when the characters that previously exhibited intelligence are now portrayed as doing obviously stupid things: like covering up what was an act of self defense as if it had been something wrong). Then they seem to be confused over the simple idea that if a president loses their powers by being mistakenly declared dead and the VP taking over, then obviously that power transfer wasn't constitutionally binding since it was done based on a mistake and is null and void. In reality, unlike at least someone on the writing staff apparently, the Supreme Court isn't comprised of complete idiots. (Admittedly there is the possibility some were coerced to avoid the obvious, but the show only suggests a staffer was and not the justices).
rnixon1974 I enjoyed the first season, with its doomsday scenario, its attempt at Machiavellian politics and some decent characters and scripts. So, I was pleased when the show was renewed, and season two's first episode aired.Wait a minute. This doesn't seem like the first season. The quality of the writing took a bit of a quantum leap backward. Curious, I checked on this site to see if the studio, showrunners or someone else had changed things. Turns out that they did.Gone are the experienced writing staff from last season, replaced by a pair of newcomers with little background in TV or movies. Admittedly, many excellent scripts have come out of people who, up to that point in time, had not worked in Hollywood. And many horrible plot lines and scripts have come from veterans of the non-reality based community in LA.The problem is, the experienced people, in this case, were much better than the newcomers. Ms. Davila and Ms. Townsend are the inexperienced newbies... and their presence has changed the show in a fundamental way. I watched Jillian in the first episode of this season, and said to myself, she would not have done this or said that in season one. The same with Grace and Liam. This is a lack of imagination, combined with laziness (falling back on certain phrases and other ideas, and sometimes very shopworn ones, that one has seen/heard many times in the past) that may be exacerbated by the pressure of a network schedule. In some cases, these ideas seem to be from Melrose Place and As the World Turns. It may sound as if I am being a bit sexist. I am trying not to do that. So many execrable scripts from shows like "Valor", "24" and "Quantico" were written by men, and anyone with any discernment is the worse for having endured such writing. I just watched episode three. CBS, please hire back some of the folks from last season. You can do better than this. You already have.
