    Pretty Good

    Wow! What a bizarre film! Unfortunately the few funny moments there were were quite overshadowed by it's completely weird and random vibe throughout.

    The thing I enjoyed most about the film is the fact that it doesn't shy away from being a super-sized-cliche;

    True to its essence, the characters remain on the same line and manage to entertain the viewer, each highlighting their own distinctive qualities or touches.

    Startup is a fun and engaging TV series showing the highs and lows of its main characters whilst they attempt to start up a company.Starring Otmara Marrero, Edi Gathegi and Adam Brody, the series centres around their characters as they form an unlikely friendship while trying to make a success of things.As the viewer gets to know the characters each episode becomes increasingly engaging, leaving the you looking forward to the next one.However, where the overall story is enjoyable, it's not without its flaws. Flaws which are starting to become a little irritating....The episodes are starting to become a little repetitive, specifically in season 2 where the viewer will probably feel they saw the same thing in season 1. The character development, while good, doesn't feel deep enough. For example, I know Izzy Morales (played by Otmara Marrero) is good, but I didn't know she is that good (a reference to Season 2, where she creates a specific program). We also don't get to know much about Adam Brody's father, who must have been very successful if he had such powerful friend such as Wes Chandler (played by Ron Perlman).Finally, the show has Martin Freeman playing an FBI agent. This would be fine if he had a better American accent, but unfortunately, early on in Season 2 it starts to standout a little more.Flaws aside, it's a super series and is well suited for anyone enjoys fast paced shows with little depth.

    The storyline to the show isn't anything genius nor is it too weak. It needed a very acting execution from it's cast to hold it all together and oh boy! They did hold together & then some! I'll be honest here, I have watched a few shows on crackle but didn't expect this! I stumbled upon the show from an IMDB recommendation. Do yourself a favour & don't read the reviews before you've watched it. Because some reviews are really strange & untrue! Like one I read right about now says this show is a *wannabe Mr. Robot*; which is ridiculous & completely unjustified. Both shows have no common grounds in terms of the storyline except they are happening in the current century. It's an EXCELLENT show. Excellent. Martin Freeman was phenomenal in the first season. Most part of the second season he did a *meh* job but the final quarter of the season! Top class. What makes this show stand out is the acting from pretty much everyone. Even the minor supporting roles too. I highly recommend the show to everyone! You won't be disappointed.

    I loved everything about this show. As a former Federal Agent and almost 20 year resident of Miami Beach, I can really say for certain, that they got it right. A lot of the scenes may have seemed a little too "Hollywood", but the strangest, most violent stuff really does happen in Miami. Miami is full of criminals from all over the globe and the Russian Mob is right at the forefront. The three "amigos" who try to startup a similar "Bitcoin" have great chemistry, the volatile Cuban American girl who created the currency, the young naive Jewish banker, and the violent, but cerebral Haitian Gang Thug. The show moves along at a breathtaking pace and never lets up. The friends get involved with the Russian Mob, a dirty Fbi agent who kills his own female partner, a cunningly rich, crooked entrepreneur who owns his own island off Miami. Once I started watching it, I couldn't stop and all of Season 1 and 2 (20) episodes in about 6 days. Even the computer stuff was presented in a exciting, interesting way. Don't MISS IT!

    This series is really well done, a decent story, full of twists and turns, quirky but believable characters, interesting & yet still annoying at times, especially the Morales character who manages to evoke no sympathy whatsoever with her egocentric totally selfish nature. Best part is that of Edi Gathegi who is mesmerising to watch with his intensity and depth. one of the few current series worth binge watching.....
