The Worst Film Ever

To all those who have watched it: I hope you enjoyed it as much as I do.

A movie that not only functions as a solid scarefest but a razor-sharp satire.

This movie is just too short. With a running time at about 1 hour 20 min (without the credits), its a very short movie by todays standards. In that time, you get 4 origin stories (5 if you count the villains story), AND the entire movie, with build up, crisis and climax/resolution. There's just not enough time for it all. Everything feels kinda rushed in this movie. Especially lacking were little scenes of interaction between the characters. There were plenty of scenes with many characters, being told stuff by yet another character, but very few scenes with only two characters, actually having a dialogue. It's in the little scenes, you really learn about the protagonists, get to care about them, and those scenes just wasn't present in this movie. The CGIs were mostly good. The man/bear character was bad when doing simple things, like walking, but fine when fighting. The big spectacle scenes were amazing. Considering this movie only cost 5 million dollars, they were mind-blowing. I would very much like an "extended edition" or "directors cut" of this movie, with more dialogue between the characters, adding more depth to them.

Apparently, many of the reviewers did not watch the special features section of the DVD. Russia does not have comic books! They are entering into a genre which is not a part of their culture. They also do not have the budget Hollywood has. Taking these facts into consideration, this is an excellent first try! We have been doing super hero movies for decades, and until just recently, many of them were terrible. I found Guardians (the English title) to be very entertaining! They have done a superb job of translating the super hero genre into something their culture can understand and relate to. If you research some of the goofs which we have made in our multi million dollar budget films, they are way ahead of the bell curve. It may not be a perfect film, but I would definitely watch a sequel!

So its not going to win an Oscars, but it surely does not deserve a 3.9. From what the rating says its as bad as the awful Asylum sci fi horror movies.First off the special effects are top notch, maybe people hate it because its a Russian movie big deal, the women are super hot, the acting is good, its a sci fi action super hero movie so. The villain was cool and it reminds me a lot of League of extraordinary Gentlemen.Its really sad that it got a low rating like this because many people will shy away from the movie.This is not a fake review, i enjoyed the movie, i enjoy all super hero movie even the DC justice league.

The Russian equivalent of a Michael Bay movie, with way less money, of course. It is not a good super heroes movie, but it is quite entertaining and not as bad as the ratings here indicate. And it is far much better than any of the Fantastic Four movies or Suicide Squad. The CGI could be better, but one have to keep in mind this is a Russian movie, made with only a tiny fraction of the budget Hollywood movies have available.
