Instant Favorite.

It’s not bad or unwatchable but despite the amplitude of the spectacle, the end result is underwhelming.

Indulge yourself to an afternoon matinee on the tv while watching this somewhat action style film. Similar storyline to many a movie out there, couple on vacation one is a Marine (Dibiase), the other his wife as a advisor to hotel. They get there and all hell breaks loose with rebel forces taking over and taking hostages. Cue the Marine wanting to go in and get his wife and rescue the hostages. For a WWE movie it isn't terrible but the editing leaves little to be desired for. The characters are really flawed by no development to most of them. Michael Rooker with a small but complex role was well received. I would chalk this up to ok in action as the choreographed fight scenes were less than stellar. 4 out of 10

After a tough mission, Marine sniper Joe Linwood (Ted DiBiase) goes with his wife Robin to her wealthy demanding client Darren Conner's opening of his tropical paradise resort. They find local guide Church who is a former Ranger. Later that night, they are attacked by a gang of separatist terrorists. The terrorists take Robin, Darren and many others hostage threatening to kill them all in 24 hours. The military is slow to act and mercenaries are called in. Joe goes along on the rescue mission but things don't go right. It's an 80's action B-movie with better production value. The acting is not one of the things that are better. I really like the opening action sequence. However it goes downhill from there. DiBiase and Lara Cox are pretty stiff actors. There is limited chemistry and the movie drags. Even the reliable Michael Rooker cannot save this. The action is well done but I couldn't care less about these characters. It makes the movie nothing more than an exercise in stunts and pyrotechnics.

this movie was actually worse than the first one. i gave the first one 1 star this movie deserves no stars. this is a waist of money. Ted dibiase was horrible in this. his acting was horrible and another question to the wwe. why put a wrestler thats not even close to star power in a movie like this. the plot was just boring. Ted dibiase mostly stayed in a safe camp site while his wife was held hostage. yeah he really cares about his wife. and when he did go try and save her the movie was over in 15, 20 minutes. at first i was surprised a sequel to a financially successful film was released direct to DVD. now i see why.i had high expectations for this film then i find out it is a piece of crap. don't see this movie.

The Marine; part 1, released a few year ago was by the numbers,a violent explosion galore action film, that was fun, The Marine; part 2 is a better film, the script follows all the required scenes for this type film.. The reason I liked it better is simple. The actor who plays the lead, LOOKS LIKE he could be a Marine.]Ted Dibiase Jr. the son of noted wrestler acquits himself well.Like Dwayne (The Rock) Johnson & a certain governor he could have a career in action films. He definitely fits the bill, His acting should improve. Lara Cox is his wife, She is pretty BUT needs acting lessons. The film was competently directed by Roel Paine.Michael Rooker is as usual good. & heads a decent supporting cast.As I said above, this movie was released directly to DVD. Rent it, I think you all will agree, it is passable entertainment,Ratings: **1/2 (out of 4) 72 points (out of 100) IMDb 6 (out of 10))
