Coming on the heels of the direct-to-video sequel The Return of Jafar, the series picked up where that installment left off, with Aladdin now living in the palace, engaged to beautiful and spunky Princess Jasmine. "Al" and Jasmine went together into peril among sorcerers, monsters, thieves, and more. Monkey sidekick Abu, the animated Magic Carpet, and the fast-talking, shape-shifting Genie came along to help, as did sassy, complaining parrot Iago, formerly Jafar’s pet but now an antihero.

Aladdin Audience Reviews

TrueJoshNight Truly Dreadful Film
FrogGlace In other words, this film is a surreal ride.
Brennan Camacho Mostly, the movie is committed to the value of a good time.
Bob This is one of the best movies I’ve seen in a very long time. You have to go and see this on the big screen.
Jesper Brun This series based on the beloved Aladdin is actually pretty good with new exciting adventures and interesting new faces both in and outside the city of Agrabah. The bad guys they encounter are especially good.Definitely worth watching, but try to ignore Genie which is not funny and at times just plain annoying. Iago is funnier than him and that explains a lot. Not that Iago IS not funny, he actually has some pretty good lines here and there, and if you can tolerate Gilbert Gottfried's voice, then it is no problem.
TVSeriesFTW Having grown up with the Swedish dubbed version of Aladdin, I had no problem with the fact that Robin Williams didn't voice the Genie in the series. What I had a problem with was that the insane jokes weren't nearly up to the quality of the original movie. The plot line was nothing you cared about in this show, it was all about how many gags the sidekicks (Abu, Yago and The Genie) could crack during each episode. Aladdin and Jasmine almost became secondary characters because they were so 2 dimensional and flat. So, while some jokes were hilarious, there really was nothing outstanding about this show. Of course, it could've been worse (read: The "Doug" TV series).
chopra_ I feel that Disney's each and every and any animation or movie is excellently worked up on, in-spite of the fact that most of these stories are old or retold. All of them are a "Whole New World". 'Aladdin' stands out for, it has evilness of Iago, Geniee who more than an entertainer, handsome Aladdin, beautiful Jasmine and ; Rug and Fur to go with each other. It will be good if they did not put fat people-I don't want obesity to be confused with cuteness, that of Sultan. Wonderful music, cute voices, amazing sites, sceneries and locations especially voices of kids in Rollie Pollie Mollie. Their a few problems like-We don't know about Al's parents and why nobody has any siblings or cousins.
Merkal In my humble personal opinion Aladdin is Disney's best animated classic ever. So naturally I watched the series, and watched again, and watched again. Disney gives the main character more personally, the good sides but also the flaws and okay sometimes they miss and make a main character out of character. Al and Jas meet many new friends and about the same on enemies. Friends like the people of Odiferans, barbarians that aren't that smart and enjoy stinking cheese or Sadira a semi-friend, semi-villian street girl just like Aladdin does everything in her sand powers to make Aladdin fall in love with her. Take the mysterius Fashir, a blind old man that knows Aladdin's future. Some are smart and power like the mighty wizard Mozenrath or the catty sorceress Mirage others are not so smart and not nearly has powerful like the thief Abis Mal or the inventor Mechanicles (though he has brains. If you liked Aladdin then you'll certainly enjoy watching Disney's Aladdin the series.
