Don't listen to the Hype. It's awful

    Nayan Gough

A great movie, one of the best of this year. There was a bit of confusion at one point in the plot, but nothing serious.

Like the great film, it's made with a great deal of visible affection both in front of and behind the camera.

The movie's neither hopeful in contrived ways, nor hopeless in different contrived ways. Somehow it manages to be wonderful

So, the jumper girl and the first season arc is defined by a minute in a car with a teenage dickhead with two hands too many. It was boring enough that the handsy kid needed a Mafia wannabe father. I get it, I think it's lame, but ok.The acting got better. The story didn't. The 8 stars is because the actors can hold thier own if and only if the writers are forced to listen to each and every audio book put out by the excellent Mr. Steven Gould. Before they touch another script.

Characters for the most part are likeable and relatable. Story writing is good..Saw a bad review saying u dont see alot space jumping.. i like that keeps the build up till those moments. If youve seen most good shows and understands what makes one..you will enjoy.

This series is the best, great acting, great stories and i am in deep with Henry and all the angst ridden mysterious hell she has to deal with ... and lands herself in by trying to be the rebel! I read that some feminists find this show offensive - i laugh at them and simply suggest they 'get a life'!!! Impulse 'is a feminine show' with many strong actresses in the cast - just give it a go - i bet most of the feminist critics never got past episode 3 as the might have to pay youtube to watch the show!!! The themes throughout are strong and controversial especially broken families and sexual consent!! Even if the guy turns out to be a nice person there is a line that is crossed and you can't go back from that line ....So i say give Impulse a chance as it is a brilliant mystery sci-fi ... Who cares what that Jumper film was - this series rules!

I wrote the following and I was wrong."There's something seriously wrong with the moral framework of this show. The story revolves around a sexual assault that could have been worse and maintains a focus on it as the worst thing that has ever happened anywhere in the world ever. Far more cataclysmic things happen but as they happen to people who aren't female they are ignored mostly. I have no idea what the intended message of this show was but the one that comes across is pretty horrible. The central character of 'Henry' is deeply unlikable who treats nearly everyone terribly including a terminally ill old woman she doesn't know from Adam. I know she had the most terrible thing that has ever happened to anyone assuming you are the most sheltered person to have lived happen to her but she's a pretty terrible person."What I wrote was wrong. Impulse has all of the faults I pointed out but what I wrote was wrong. Impulse is one of the most poorly written and morally reprehensible shows ever produced. It exists solely as a lunatic expression of victim-hood and it is utterly devoid of humanity and understanding. It elevates trivial annoyance of a teen's wandering hand above the death of a child or the end of a long and lonely life. It panders to a sick two dimensional teenage view of life and it is worthy of nothing but contempt. This is one of the most appalling shows ever made and it depends upon the naivety of young viewers with an experiential deficit. This is not just bad; it is deeply insulting and morally barren. It is possible to have a hateful character as an anti-hero but this steaming pile serves up vileness as heroism. It doesn't work and it shouldn't.
