Good story, Not enough for a whole film

Easily the biggest piece of Right wing non sense propaganda I ever saw.

If you're interested in the topic at hand, you should just watch it and judge yourself because the reviews have gone very biased by people that didn't even watch it and just hate (or love) the creator. I liked it, it was well written, narrated, and directed and it was about a topic that interests me.

One of the worst ways to make a cult movie is to set out to make a cult movie.

Rik Mayell RIP was 56 when he died in 2014. Only 10 years age difference between he and Greg Davies. How could he have realistically played his dad?Maybe make-up and a bit of suspended belief but anything is possible. My friend is a huge fan of anything British, drama, comedy, reality TV, talk shows. you get the picture. So she recommended this series to me. Not sure if I am a fan. I tend to like my comedy less slap stick and more nuanced. Monty Python is a favorite, Little Britain is high on my lst as well.Maybe I will give it a closer look after a while. But for now I am moving on.

Having watched one half (episodes 1,2 and 6) of series 4, and having watched episodes from earlier series, Man Up still seems to be a programme with a far too lenient approach to quality control. From the ending to the final episode of series 4, it looks like there will be a series 5. If so, I do hope someone will encourage the two writers, Greg Davies and Stephen Morrison, to rope in a more experienced writer who has the balls to tell them that much of what they write is ... just ... not ... funny ... enough. It may be that a side-effect of never having warmed to Greg Davies's character, is that I find this much less funny than it actually is. But I don't think this is the case: I think it genuinely and simply isn't funny enough.

As there are no reviews for Man Down i thought i might get it started. Man Down is a good new Chanel 4 comedy staring Greg Davies from the Inbetweeners. It started off brilliantly with huge laughs, but by episode 3 it has lost its touch. Episodes 1 & 2 Were very well written and incredibly funny but episode 3 seems to have lost its touch. Some scenes were funny but the rest of the episode seemed like it was written last minute. Rik Mayall plays a brilliant part as the Dad who constantly plays practical jokes on his son. Overall i will still watch but i cant see a second series coming anytime soon'6/10

As no-one has yet written a review, I felt obliged to begin.Having just watched the first two episodes, I can tell you, my cheeks are aching and I haven't laughed so much since my Auntie wet herself in Tesco.Greg Davies is utterly brilliant. Hapless, helpless and human. The interaction with the children had me shrieking and holding my sides. The casting of Rik Mayall as 'Dad' is a stroke of genius. Utterly bonkers and an uncanny resemblance.Imagine The Inbetweeners for 40-somthings, with a little Nighty Night thrown in.If you like Greg's stand-up, I guarantee this will tickle your fancy.
