The film's masterful storytelling did its job. The message was clear. No need to overdo.

i loved the first episode and i thought cool something else i can enjoy when supernatural isn't on boy was i wrong i got through the first five episodes started to get so boring after the second but i hanged but i was started yawning and paying more attention to the internet. the characters are so boring the actors are so wooden in their acting that i not cheering for any character and the story lines is nothing new or exiting i ended up either fast forwarding a whole lot of the last two episodes because i do want to know how it ends don't care how it ends just don't like leaving it without knowing. i sooner do anything else than watch this show i just going to go back and watch earlier seasons of supernatural and watch drew Barrymore zombie show again. hopefully there won't be a season 2

The first episode was good, but unfortunately the show loose some interest over the episodes. Very mixed scenes that doesn't make any sense in the time frame... I guess that if they trade some episodes it would made a huge difference. Gladly episode 1x09 was totally awesome, so to me this is a keeper and I hope other people give it a chance and don't give up on it.

Midnight is one of those shows that start slow with teasers. It's a nod and wink to the supernatural while also inter-splicing realistic possibilities. It's like a joke. A vampire, a witch, an angel, a wear beast and a hired killer walk into a diner. Except it doesn't have a punch line. Instead. It draws you in. Slowing unraveling each characters background until, you are invested In the towns scrappy bunch of characters. It's definitely worth the time. I intend to binge on all the episodes, thus far, this weekend. The marriage of the occult and Normalicy is intriguing and I'm interested to see where it goes.

It's gotta have have good acting and dialogue, which this sometimes does not. The dialogue can be cringe-worthy. I was thinking "Who talks like that?" on some of the scenes. The dead Grandmother can't act, has no feeling in her lines. Maybe because she's really dead? The 1st episode was so rushed. People were constantly spitting out quick replies almost before the original person finished speaking. And the editing was chopped up at such a fast pace that it was hard to establish the correct atmosphere. As soon as you were taking in a scene - bam! Hard cut to another. And why do several shows have people introducing themselves by 1st and last name? Nobody does that! Other than my legitimate gripes, the makeup and special effects are pretty good, and the subject and premise looks promising like they can actually get somewhere with it if they clean up the acting, slow it down to resemble normal conversations, and edit everything at an even pace. People sometimes think for a few seconds before spitting out a reply. Especially in Texas, where they're even slower!
